First Use Instructions
Each case has been factory tested at water pressures that well exceed International standards (IP Code), with a rating of IP-68 for water exposure. However it is recommended that you perform periodic water resistance tests, without your phone inserted, in order to assure that you have not inadvertently damaged the case's protective features. This can be performed by simply inserting paper in the case, closing it and submerging it for the intended time and depth you may expose it to. Remove from water and inspect the paper for leakage.

Opening and Closing
In order to OPEN your case, you must 1) rotate the two lower latches outward and then 2) swing the latch arms outward. You can now remove the bottom case component and remove your phone. If your case is still wet, it is advised that you dry it before opening to avoid accidental exposure to water. Note: New cases tend to hug the iPhone a little tight but will become easier to remove with use.
This is the easiest method to CLOSE your case. Keeping the latches in the "up" position, rotate each of the latch arms until the latches partially engage. Next you can flip the latches so they snap into their closed position against the case bottom body. Note: Your case bottom only fits on one way, the pins and corresponding holes on the outer edges of the components are both forward.

Fluidic Touchscreen
It may take a minute or two to get used to the touch/response as you will have to press a bit harder to actuate your phone's touchscreen. This is normal. Your case's proprietary fluidic touchscreen allows you to use your phone's touchscreen while in and underwater with full functionality.

PROTECTION - The double membranes combined with the inert internal fluid will add impact resistance to your phone's touchscreen.

SCRATCH-RESISTANCE - Both the inner and outer membranes are extremely difficult to scratch. Even materials like metals and stone pose little threat to scratching your screen, even with prolonged contact.

LEARNING TIME - Each time you immerse your case into the water, the phone's touchscreen may take as much as 20 seconds to electronically acclimate to the water. This is normal. After this learning time, the fluidic touchscreen will function normally underwater until you remove it from the water.

Drop Resistance – Internal Cushioning
Do not be fooled by the hard plastic exterior shell of your case. Much of the inside of your case is lined with soft plastic in order to reduce the impact forces to your phone if dropped on a hard surface.

Card Storage Space
You will find a convenient space behind your phone to easily insert a standard CR80 card such as: a credit card, room key, driver's license, etc. for dry safekeeping.

Maintenance
Keep Mating Surfaces and the Headphone Receptacle Clean. The top and bottom case components are designed to mate for a watertight seal. Interference from dirt particles and other matter may interfere with the sealing capability. Keep these areas clean.
The headphone receptacle will function normally if kept clean as with any other device. In the event your case is repetitively exposed to salt water, it is advised that you rinse it internally with fresh water. Feel free to clean your case, inside or out. Dish soap and water are recommended.
Note: When the headphone receptacle is filled with water, it may hinder the normal use of phone's front-ear speaker. It will resume normal function when dry.

Caution: Your case is a watertight enclosure that by nature does not breathe! Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight in a hot climate may cause your phone to overheat.
